Founded in 1985 as a 'spin-off' club from the original Downtown Minneapolis Rotary Club (Club #9), Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club has grown to become one of the most vibrant and involved clubs in District 5950.

Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary (COLRC) has more than 110 members (of which 30% are women, which is higher than the Rotary average). This isn't "your father's Rotary Club". Members join and continue to be engaged because of our compelling weekly programs, opportunity to serve our local and global communities, and perhaps most importantly, because we simply have a lot of fun together. Members have an affinity for the city of Minneapolis and come from all over the Twin Cities to be a part of COLRC.

Active in all aspects of Rotary's Avenues of Service, City of Lakes members serves as a steadfast leaders, giving generously of our time and funds to benefit those in need both at home and abroad. Our members developed a three-year vision to focus our efforts in 2016-2019. You'll find us rolling up our sleeves to tackle literacy and food insecurity locally, clean water internationally, to help develop both youth into the leaders of tomorrow as well as a strong focus on the continual development of our members as individuals.

We invite you to join us for breakfast every Wednesday morning from 7:15-8:30 a.m., or for our bi-monthly evening option called Rotary After Dark, which takes place the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Both meetings take place at The Minneapolis Club, located in Downtown Minneapolis. We look forward to seeing you!
