Volunteer need: Company of the Year competition judges
- Scope: Several of our student groups will be participating in JA North’s annual Company of the Year competition. The first phase of judging takes place during the week, as judges review business reports and videos submitted by each competition team. Some of the teams will be from our JA LaunchU! cohorts, but not all. The expectation of judges is that they will review each submission according to provided criteria and share their scores and feedback with JA program staff by the end of the review week. We expect for this to be a roughly 3-3.5 hour task overall, and are looking for up to 2 individuals.
- Date/Time: During the week of 5/2, on your own time. Doesn’t need to be done in one sitting, either!

Volunteer need: Short videos of encouragement
- Scope: This month, as our groups are navigating their prototypes, products, and project plans – we know that they’ll greatly appreciate words of encouragement from professionals who have been there before! We’d love to put together a reel of short videos from other business professionals and entrepreneurs sharing enthusiasm and encouragement for the work that the students are doing. These could be anywhere from 30-seconds to 3-minutes long.
