The growing partisan divide over political values is paralyzing families’ and communities’ ability to trust and find solutions for mutually shared human needs. This community forum on April 16 offers new understandings and strategies for initiating conversations that focus on our shared humanity and that respect the integrity and worth of every individual’s views. Rotary clubs of St. Paul, Minneapolis City of Lakes, and Roseville present it.

The forum features Bill Doherty, Ph.D., a Professor in the Department of Family Social Science at the University of Minnesota where he directs The Minnesota Couples on the Brink Project and The Citizen Professional Center. Following the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, he co-founded Braver Angels, a citizen initiative bringing conservatives and liberals together to counteract political polarization and restore the fraying social fabric in American society.

In an engaging, interactive forum we discuss what actions could and should be taken to address today’s divisive landscape. Get tickets.
