As temperatures drop across Minnesota, the Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club has once again stepped up to help those in need. This year, the club donated 1,000 hats, gloves, and scarves to six local social service agencies, ensuring warmth for hundreds as winter approaches.

This annual donation drive, a tradition spanning more than three decades, has distributed over 34,000 winter essentials to underserved community members. The project’s success is largely thanks to the dedication of long-time Rotarian Gary Mosiman. His leadership and commitment to this cause have inspired countless club members and strengthened the club’s impact year after year.

“Our goal is to provide comfort and protection to those facing the harsh Minnesota winter,” said Mosiman. “Knowing we can make a difference, especially during the coldest months, keeps us going.”

One of agencies commented, “I just wanted to thank you again for taking the time to deliver the hats and gloves to East Side Neighborhood Services yesterday!  We are so appreciative for this partnership and for the warm donations for the kids and families that we serve. We will be getting them out to families this week!  Thank you so very much!”

The Minneapolis City of Lakes Rotary Club is proud to support those in need, fostering the spirit of warmth, care, and service. As we continue to uphold this tradition, the community benefits from a little extra warmth—and a lot of goodwill.
