Street Voices of Change

Street Voices of Change is a group of people with lived experiences of homelessness who come together to work for change in their community. They started meeting in 2006 and their organizing work has included the creation and implementation of the Shelter Residents' Bill of Rights in Hennepin County, free downtown community storage, increase in access to housing case management, and  more. The group holds twice-weekly meetings in Minneapolis, which are led by StreetVoices members. Street Voices of Change ensures that the voices of those impacted most are heard in the work to prevent and end homelessness.
